Project Description
This state orphanage is taking care of infant orphans requiring most delicate attention. It is very poorly supported by the state. Air heaters are critical for their disabled infant group. Existing central heating system that uses hot water and serves entire city often malfunctions and breaks. Last winter the temperature inside often dropped below 50. Vladivostok expects severe heat wave in July. We have already equipped half of the orphanage with the heaters/conditioners in the spring. The orphanage is asking us to buy 2 more electric air heaters/conditioners to equip the rest of the children rooms. Please help!

Dear friends, you are so far away and yet so close to us!

On behalf of our pupils from the Vladivostok Infant Orphanage, and of the educational and technical staff, I convey our deep gratitude for your donation. We are extremely grateful for your kind support! These two heaters/conditioners that you provided are critical for our children. Together with 2 other heaters provided by fund Ascent earlier this year we are now well equipped for any kind of weather.

Our institution cares for 90 infant orphans with mental and physical developmental problems. These abandoned babies are all under 5 years old, and they need not only the warmth of our hearts, but also everyday comfort. Thanks to your help, and help of other gracious people. The life ahead of them will be very difficult, so let them not be aware of it while they are here. Your generous gift will allow us to provide better care to these little people.

It is said that beauty will save the world, but I believe only kindness will. Of course, it is nice to be handsome, gentle and well, but it happens only rarely. More often, we are faced with evil, or just with the lack of compassion. This is perilous for everyone. I am glad that our children are surrounded by people who bring kindness. And you, dear friends, are among them.

Lord, we dream of the world without sorrow and suffering. Yet the recent tragedy in Beslan has ruined such dreams for many people around the world. Why is that? You, our dear friends, bring mercy and compassion to children that are strangers to you. May honor, praise and glory be yours! Our big and closely-knit family wishes you good health, happiness to your families, wellbeing, and fulfillment of all your wishes the way you fulfilled ours.

    With great respect and gratitude
