Sports Equipment for Vladivostok Orphanage #1 Cost: $2,325 Status: Completed on 06/31/2005. Thanks to kind donations by Richard, Rebecca and Jonathan Soverns Project Description Physical education is an imperative part of rehabilitative work with orphaned children living at Vladivostok Children's Rehabilitation Home, who are mentally or physically disabled. Purchasing the gym equipment would enable the orphans, aged 3 to 12 gain a whole range of additional health benefits, including: Increased general level of fitness, Improvement in nervous, heart and respiratory systems, Improved mobility and coordination, better body control, Mental stimulation. Summary The aforementioned equipment will not only improve the physical fitness of the 55 Vladivostok Children's Rehabilitation Home residents, expanding their universe of exercise movements and tasks, but also stimulate the children mentally. Your help with acquisition of this equipment will help these kids adapt into the society in which they are destined to live, work, lead a healthy lifestyle and become wholesome members.
