Project Description
This state Russian orphanage is taking care of 60 orphans ages 3-12 with physical or mental disabilities. The building, where the orphanage is now located, was built in 1985. Our orphanage exists there for 8 years. Before this time, it was occupied by a kindergarten. During the time of us occupying the space, there were no major repairs or renovations. The doors in the building are made from recycled material containing wood shavings and cardboard. The doors became completely unusable from the constant high moisture content in the air. This year, the problem with moisture was severe: during the entire summer we had continuous, torrential rains. The door panels swelled up and the layers started to separate, creating sizable crevices. Small children tend to stick their fingers into the crevices and often receive small, but painful cuts. In addition, the door units became crooked from the moisture and the doors can not be closed completely. This is a source of constant cold drafts that make our poor children sick with cold and flu. The doors separating some of the rooms contain glass. This also can be potentially hazardous to children. These doors must be replaced with solid doors.

Project’s Budget:
Labor to install glass door units – 7 units, total 12320 rubles
Work materials to replace glass door units – 7 units, total 51310 rubles
Labor to install wooden door units – 17 units, total 29920 rubles
Work materials to replace wooden door units – 17 units, total 67450 rubles
Grand total: labor and material – 161000 rubles

I apologize for myself and my coworkers. They have made the estimates without me and did not consider additional need for 4 more doors for the toilets and the kitchen. This will amount to approximately 21000 rubles, in addition to the estimate above. The final estimate to replace the doors is 186,146 rubles ($6,700), please see the invoice below.
