Each summer, our program provides 4 – 6 weeks of activities and field trips for all of the kids at the orphanage, including museum visits, paintball, go-karts, bowling, shopping for new clothes, movies, and forest hikes. Orphans learn to use computers provided by the program, make arts and crafts, and spend quality time together helping the kids to realize how important and special they are. Kostroma Kids Program works with local contacts and the orphanage staff to provide for the year-round needs of the kids as well as ongoing support to orphans as they leave the orphanage to pursue additional schooling. The orphanage director’s devotion to the kids and their needs is nothing short of amazing, and she leaves no stone unturned to find additional funds to provide for the 23 children in her care.
