Project Description
Currently water is supplied to the Commune from the nearby village by tractor. Sometimes the the condition of the road does not allow even the tractor to pass. Other times the Commune cannot afford the fuel. On such occasions they have to bring the water by hand in buckets. Stable water supply is critical not only for the kids, but also for their livestock and for watering vegetables.

Project Update
Originally a local firm has quoted only $1,300 for the equipment and pro-bona (free) drilling and installation. Unfortunately, they were not able to do it. Business as usual for Russia, but the winter is coming! After careful selection and bidding process the commune has selected a respectable firm for this project. The contractor conducted detailed on-site inspection and drafted a proposal. Please see details below.
