Ukrainian Orphanages

Devyatkov Foster Home located in Gorlovka, Ukraine is a family oriented foster home. The home is run as a family unit and will be a permenent residence for older orphaned children that are homeless after the Gorlovka Hope orphanage closed early in 2011.

Gorlovka Infant Hospital located in Gorlovka, Ukraine is home to 40 infants from birth to 4 years old. Here the little ones receive medical treatment and general care until they can be transferred to an orphanage or adopted by a Ukrainian family.

Gvardeyskaya Boarding School is home to 196 children ages 7 to 18 and is located in the Crimea. 26 of the children are developmentally delayed orphans, the remainder live there due to the severe poverty experienced by their families.

Torez Special Needs Orphanage is a state orphanage in Ukraine that is taking care of 250 children ages 4 to 18 all with severe physical or mental deficiencies.

Ukrainian Orphanages with no Active Projects

Gorlovka Hope is home to 100 orphaned children between the ages of 3 and 18. Almost 70% of the children are girls. The orphanage is nestled in the suburbs near the Stirol chemical plant.

Gorlovka Technical Vocational School #35 is home to 240 orphans and is located in Gorlovka, Ukraine. Here the young people are taught the necessary skills to be locksmiths, carpenters, house painters, masonry workers and other types of vocational occupations.

Makeevka "Snowdrops" is a public orphanage located in the Donetsk region of Ukraine. It is home to approximately 70 children between the ages of 2-12.

Schors Boarding School is home to 144 orphans and extremely poor children age 6-18, located in a remote region of the Ukraine. Here the young people are taught regular school lessons and essential life skills.

Shpola Internat is home to 182 orphans age 6-18, They are located in Shpola, Ukraine. Here the young people are taught the necessary skills of farming and gardening along with regular school lessons.

Snezhnoye Orphanage is a regional orphanage in a remote village of Ukraine that is taking care of 50 children ages 2 to 17.

Torez Internat is a private orphanage in Ukraine that is taking care of 70 children ages 2 to 18. The internat also helps to train the children in various vocational studies.
