THE CLINTONVILLE COMMUNITY MARKET PARTICIPATES IN A NEW PROJECT!

We at the Clintonville Community Market have begun our involvement with Ascent Russian Orphan Aid Foundation in efforts to fund the "Build a Shower" project for Nadezhda (Hope) Homeless Children's Shelter in St. Petersburg, Russia. The Hope Shower project is part of a larger effort by the CCM to participate in outreach on an international level, therefore making connections with other communities. We would like to get to know more about this large “family” of Russian homeless children and their caretakers.

It is apparent that many people in Columbus, OH realize how much material wealth we have in this area of the world. Recently, through the generous donations of people in this community, ~ $3000 was raised and sent to the Carter foundation for the purpose of building a water well in Ghana, Africa. This money was raised in approximately eight months through many small donations, a bake sale and few large donations. We anticipate raising $2800 in a similar way to complete the Hope Shower Project and look forward to working directly with Ascent to expediently reach this goal.
