Anniversary of our “Hope”

For almost 10 years, Commune Hope that was created and headed by Evgeniy Alexandrovich Kliot, strives in our city.

“Hope” became home to youth who were abandoned, lost, forgotten by adults on the big road of life. Hope has its own farmstead in Karelia, where children live and manage the property. A few years back, Hope was given an apartment in St. Petersburg on Dvinskaya St. There, a shelter serves homeless children with its own school and several activity clubs: wrestling, dancing, singing and drawing. These clubs are also attended by all children in the neighborhood. To open the anniversary season, children organized a great concert for guests and friends. In the recent years, Hope had also found friends from abroad. Help from American foundation Ascent, headed by Kirill Bogouslavski, was crucial to keep the supply of running water. Ms. Laura, from Lehman Brothers, have provided means to build a heated barn for farm animals. Thanks to them, Hope has hope and the means for a normal life.
